hIHELLO
My name is Tracey Finn and I live in Melbourne Australia. I have been involved with Rottweilers for approx 19 years.
My first Rottweiler was Sikera Apollo, due to a dislike of other males he was never shown or did obedience much past the basics. In 1989 I purchased a bitch Rottatooey Liza (A) CDX BH after a brief stint in the show ring I decided I preferred obedience and started working towards our novice title. After about 13 trials we finally managed three passes and were off to the open class for CDX. Due to the fact that I was an inexperienced handler with not much idea of how to train a dog let alone trial one Too’s never really enjoyed trialling as much as I did and I would often halt in the heeling pattern and she would walk into the back of my legs, or if I did an about turn, I could usually meet her coming the other way!. After more trials than it took us to get CD we finally got our CDX. While training for UD I became interested in the sport of Schutzhund, after learning a different way of training that was more motivational and fun for the dogs we trialled for and passed our BH.
While training at the Schutzhund club I decided to purchase another pup. After looking around for a while I finally acquired a bitch pup Dual Ch Bohmerwald Anden (A) CDX whose parents were both Sch 111 and were graded Excellent by international Rottweiler judges in conformation. Jutz has only been shown sparingly in the specialist ring and has been graded Excellent three times under visiting judges. She has also gained her Aust Ch CD CDX TD TDX TCH Dual Ch.
In 1997 I lost my older bitch to bone cancer and after Jutz and I spent about 12 month on our own I decided to purchase another pup. Due to my preferrence for obedience and tracking over showing and having a bitch with the amazing ability to come into season a week before a trial I decided to buy a male. After looking around for some time which included looking at other breeds as well I decided to purchase a pup from Louise Russel at Ubersein Rottweilers. This pup namedUbersein Geronimo or Brax has been an amazing boy to own, he has a strong temperament and excellent confirmation. After spending a number of years mostly showing in both All Breeds and Specialty I decided to get back to Tracking. Within a very short time he passed his TD TDX TCH and became a Dual Champion. He is now shown in the veteran dog class and has been awarded, in the Specialty Ring, Multi V1 ratings and 24 V ratings. Reserve Challenge NDRC Ch 2002, Vice Sieger RCV Breed Exhibition 2002 and in 2005 he won Stud Dog In Show at the RCSA Champ Show. In the All Breeds ring he has earned is Grand Championship title and along the way picked up numerous Best In Group and Multi Best In Show awards, including BIS Cranbourne Dog Club 2004 from 1500+ entries. Brax has also sired Multi V1 rated, BISS/BIS, Grand Champion & Dual Champion progeny from only 4 litters. Brax himself holds the titles of National Champion, Grand Champion & Dual Champion. I believe he is still the only Rottweiler in Australia to hold these titles.
From Brax’s most recent litter to NRCA/Aust Ch Ubersein Masquerade I decided to keep a daughter. This bitch Ubersein Pucker UP has recently gained her Aust Championship title and has also won her class at Specialty level, including Minor Puppy In Show, at the 2005 Rottweiler National Championship show. She has so far earned three of the ten V ratings needed for her National Championship title. In 2006 Puck started her Tracking career and passed her TQT and her Test 1. In 2007 while waiting for the Tracking season to start she has been the obdience ring earing two passes towards her Novice CD title.
In between Brax and Puck I have been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to train and handle a number of other Rottweilers for friends. Firstly NRCA/Dual Champion Dellahar Ultral Busy (a Brax son) to all of his Tracking titles. This dog now holds the titles of Dual Ch / NRCA Ch CD CDX TD TDX TCH ET. Taka is nowing being trained up for his OCH title by his owner Dawn Ayton. Also I have had amazing opportunity to handle one of the best Tracking Rottweilers I have encountered in my years with the breed. This bitch is NRCA/Aust Ch Ubersein On A Promise. Not only is Honour an exceptional working bitch but has many V ratings in conformation from the Specialty shows including Runner Up BEST IN SHOW at the RCNSW Ch Show 2006. She is now training with me again for her obedience titles.
